Hello, all….

Anyone else get in a proposal on the 15th to NSF for education research? I got my mentor on campus lined up and we got a proposal submitted….planning a pilot study this fall, which I hope will increase our chances at funding the next time around should we not be successful with this first shot. It was kind of crazy trying to write a proposal from scratch in one week while teaching a full load of three courses, but grades were submitted yesterday, and I breathed a huge sigh of relief, because now my sabbatical begins…

I thought I’d post something just to get things started…

Karl and Ruth: Had a good time at the 2005 workshop, and I am still digesting all the information. I was tasked with making sure that the information requested by the participants was posted on the web site. What I had that I haven’t already found on the site was:
1) the list of participants with contact information
2) Marilla’s list of the ten threats to validity
3) All the updated powerpoint slides
4) Links to the bibliography and articles handed out
5) A link to John Haywood’s book “Engineering Education” (?) that is due out in September.

Post when you think this will be up. I’ll check back in a few weeks.
